Betsy Marsano of Waldo and Jay Dresser of Bangor are seeking the Green Independent Party nomination for governor.


The party will share information about both candidates, including their positions and campaign events as such information is provided by the candidates.


Marsano is now taking seed money contributions to run as a Maine Clean Elections Act candidate. Individuals may donate up to $100. Maine residents may also donate $5 to qualify her for Clean Elections. She must get 3,200 $5 contributions by April. Click the following link to donate seed money or a qualifying contribution.


U.S. Congress, District 2


State Rep. Henry John Bear (G--Houlton Band of Maliseet Indians) is also seeking the party nomination for U.S. Congress in District 2, which covers the central and northern parts of the state (all counties except for Androscoggin, Cumberland, parts of Kennebec, Knox, Lincoln and York).
