In 2020, from Jan. 1 to March 19, municipal caucuses will be convened around the state for the purpose of electing local leaders, supporting our candidates and selecting the Green Party of the United States nominee for president.

Caucuses are the legal means in Maine by which municipal committees are formed and officers elected. County committee members may also be elected at these municipal caucuses.

In order to get the best voter turnout for our presidential selection, and to increase local party organization statewide, we encourage Greens to convene caucuses in their towns.

If there is not currently a party municipal committee existing in your town, any enrolled Green in the municipality may convene the caucus. Please contact us if you would like to convene or attend a caucus and we will help you organize it.

Feel free to review the caucus documents provided.
