The Fundraising Committee (FunCom) is tasked with organizing, coordinating, and leading the fundraising efforts of the Maine Green Independent Party (MGIP) to meet our fundraising goals.
The FunCom carries out this work under the oversight of the Steering Committee (SC) and works with the SC to establish fundraising goals and methods.
FunCom will meet a minimum of once every two months, with the option of meeting more frequently. Quorum is reached with the presence of 3 officers.
The FunCom shall have a minimum of three officers, Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer, with the ability to create positions as needed.
The officers shall be tasked with organization and facilitation of committee activities.
Chair: Draft agenda, taking submissions from membership, and facilitate meetings.
Secretary: Take the minutes of the meetings and disseminate to committee membership and SC
Treasurer: Track Funds allotted to the FunCom by the SC; oversee the proper transference of all funds raised by FunCom, to the SC; communicate directly to the SC Treasurer; prepare financial reports to be delivered at the beginning of each FunCom meeting.
Vetting of Membership to the FunCom shall be done by the FunCom officers, and submitted to the SC for approval.
Impeachment: Any members deemed by the ComCom or SC to have violated the Universal Terms of Service shall be removed from the committee.
Officers shall be subject to recall by a simple majority of the voting membership.
The FunCom shall also have non-officer members, who have the right to vote on proposals on the floor during FunCom meetings.
The FunCom must work tightly with Merchandise Committee (MerchCom), the Tabling Committee (TableCom) and Communications Committee (ComCom) and as such will have liazons to each of these committees.
All members of MerchCom and TableCom have full membership rights to participate in FunCom meetings.
