Where might I go to find a list of the elections outcomes of the Green Party candidates around the country?

Hi, I attended the session at the Common Ground Fair about a guaranteed income for all, presented by the Green Party. The man doing the presentation kept talking about efficiency, efficiency, efficiency (which seemed to translate into people no longer having to turn their own lights off and on). In the context of the fair, this is not a good message as MOFGA hardly stands for what the USDA terms efficiency. As we already live in a state where far too many people have far too little to do (and consequently get themselves into a lot of trouble), I think the presenter needed to think more carefully about what he was saying.

While I can respect your idealism I but can’t cannot agree with your party’s decision to enter the presidential race. I can’t believe your desire to make a “statement” is more important the greater good of our country. A Trump presidency would be a fascist nightmare for America not only now but our children and our grand children. If he packs the Supreme Court with like minded people the damage could exceed our imagination. I agree with Bernie that we should begin with taking the achievable goal of taking control of local government rather than the act of making a protest vote. I cannot be overstated that Trump cannot seize the White House. I have no doubt you are good people. I just hope you folks would reconsider.

    Best wishes,

    Joseph Nunez

    Bradford, Maine

I apologize for my last letter. I’m calmer now. Trump makes me insane.

Do folks remember Ralph Nadar? You know, the sanctimonious, grandiose asshole who was unable to see past his nose. If he kept his nose out of that election the horror show that was the Iraq invasion would never have happened. I believe the most haunting thing about that criminal invasion was the fate of the children. Killed, maimed, seeing loved ones suffer the same fate. But Ralph was a man of conscience and he valued that over human suffering. And now you myopic idealists are going help that fascist Trump get elected. I know you’ll sing the same pathetic song that Nadar did after Bush won. I despise Hillary and her party but I’m going to force myself to vote for her. The world’s a tinderbox and it doesn’t take much of an imagination to see what kind of shit storm Trump could unleash.

I believe in voting for what’s good for our country (and the world) rather than soothing my fragile ideals. It’s not hyperbole or melodrama to say if that piece of shit Trump gets elected children around the world will pay a price. I can respect your values but not your childish desire for instant gratification. Your protest vote is meaningless and damaging to the country. Step out of your fucking bubble.

I see a Nancy Allen is involved in the Green Party. If she is the same person of that name who was involved in the Maine Project on Southern Africa, an anti-apartheid organization, please give her my email and ask her to contact me. I am involved in the African Activist Archive Project with his documenting the role of U.S. organizations and individuals that supported African struggles against colonialism and apartheid.

I received a postcard inviting me to the Green Independent caucus, Saturday, March 12 at the Madison Municipal Office @2:00pm. I arrived early, the doors locked and I waited over an hour. Another man came and we talked for sometime and we finally gave up. What is up with that?

Is there to be a caucus in Islesboro or Waldo County?

I see that Jill Stein is the Green candidate for President. Can you tell me anything about her? Are there any Green candidates running for Maine offices?

    Dear Concerned Environmentalist,

There has been an issue of great environmental concern that has been going on behind closed doors in the City of Saco. Two weeks from now, the Saco school board will be asked to approve a plan to close two small neighborhood schools and combining them into a single sprawling school complex. What should be of concern to all environmentally minded people is that this complex will be built on the last remaining large track wooded areas on the outskirt of Saco’s city center. This project will not only contribute to “urban sprawl” but this area contains wetlands. Details of this plan can be seen at A grassroots group of Saco parents & teachers has recently mobilized in opposition to this plan ( Unfortunately, the school board has been besieged by so called experts who are selling this plan as a money saver and downplaying the environmental impact it will have. I was recently elected to the school board with large majority of votes because I campaigned against this project. Unfortunately, city officials will be forcing the school board to approve this project on November 25 before I take my seat. If you are a citizen of Saco, please contact your school board member to voice your concern! Contact me at if you need more information and to get involved in stopping environmentally destructive plan.

The argument for raising or not raising the minimum wage in Portland to $15./hr.

has been batted around by both sides ad nauseam. There can only be one, possibly

two, plausible reasons for your organization to want to implement this increase.

You are progressives, socialists, Marxists or communists. Take your pick.

There was a time when the vast majority of Americans would be ashamed of being

tagged with any of these labels. Now, after the drip, drip, drip of the Leftist

If you are not closet communists, then there has to be some financial benefit attached to your efforts.

So which is it? Are you communists, corrupt activists or both?
